iTunes for Books!

I was cleaning out my hard drive today, and I came across a program called Bookpedia that I had downloaded ages ago but never actually installed. I was going to start a spreadsheet for the books I want and have read and so on, and Bookpedia sounded like a promising name. So I clicked.

I am in love. Bookpedia is iTunes for books.

You can add books to your library by searching online databases (like Amazon, but also others) and it downloads all the stats for you like publisher, number of pages, cover, date of publication, etc. Like iTunes you can use smart folders to sort, you can even buy a book by clicking on it. You can also track books that you’ve lent out. You can maintain a wishlist of books that you want. I haven’t finished exploring it yet, but so far I’m really impressed.

I use a program called MediaMan. You have to pay $40 for it, but I absolutely love it! You can catalog anything, Books, CD’s, DVD’s, etc.
