I’m curiously short of links for today’s field trip. I suspect my notes were eaten in one of my program crashes. In any case, here are three entertaining reads:
On the etiquette of online reviews and author feedback to those reviews there are two articles:
- An article by Chris Bohjalian entitled “In which the author obsesses over potshots by amateur critics on Amazon.com”.
- Again, on reviewing (found through shereadsbooks.org): Top Ten Things Authors Should Not Do at Amazon (based on a real incident, read all the way to the bottom on this one!)
For your ongoing reading pleasure, I encourage you to check out author John Scalzi’s blog. He recently surprised Wil Wheaton with a black velvet painting of Wesley Crusher. Strange mind, unusual sense of humour, and writer — my favourite combination.
Have a good weekend! If you need more to read (I know, who needs MORE to read?), check out the $1 book sale at Bookcloseouts.com (ends at the end of the month).
