Well, it’s September. For more years than I care to remember that means that I am doing coursework again. This year my classes fall on Wednesdays so these writing posts will likely be moving to another day. Not that I’ve done much writing other than blogging lately.
If you want to get some of the benefit of an MFA without spending the money, you might want to check out some of the discussions/lectures by faculty and visiting writers from the summer residency of the University of British Columbia Creative Writing Low Residency MFA program that are available for free download.
With that little public service out of the way, back to my navel-gazing (which I’ve doing all summer writing memoirs and has left me a little depressed — as it did some of my classmates, seems a lot of writers have less than ideal childhoods). I’m not sure whether to finish my navel-gazing and get it over with once and for all, or pack it away as usual and move onto something else and hope it doesn’t spill out all over the rest of my life.
There’s a stack of childhood photoalbums on my desk waiting for me to excavate myself. See you later.
