Read to the end to learn how to get extra entries into this month’s book giveaways!
I was tagged by Wendi over at Wendi’s Book Corner. That means I’m now supposed to tell you 7 random bookish things about myself and then inflict (erm, I mean tag) another 7 people with this meme. (Heh. I’m just kidding about the inflicting part. I’m really bad at remembering to do these memes so sometimes they die when they get sent here because I don’t get around to them).
Anyway, you probably should know some bookish things about me if you’re taking my bookish opinion for anything (you may not be, for all I know you’re just here for the free books).
Let’s see, what can I tell you that is remotely interesting, yet won’t get me in trouble (hi, mom!):
- I’m Canadian and I dislike CanLit. Don’t confuse CanLit with Canadian authors. There are many Canadian authors whose work I love, but none write CanLit (think of CanLit as the “classics” academics study and inflict on students).
- I attended a writing workshop on writing erotica given by an Ellora’s Cave writer. Naughty things were written and read aloud (not mine, I was too chicken).
- I won the door prize at said writing workshop, but haven’t reviewed it here.
- I still read A. A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh books.
- I think everyone should read A. A. Milne’s books as an adult, at least once.
- I read science nonfiction for fun.
- My other half still hasn’t read the book I gave him for his birthday LAST year. Okay, that one wasn’t about me, but come on already. I’ve read 49 since January.
Okay, who should I tag?
- Nicole over at No BS Book Reviews and I Meme It.
- Chris at Book-a-rama.
- Iced Tea at Books, TV, etc..
- PopinFresh at Popin’s Lair.
- Callista at SMS Book Reviews.
- Amanda at Reading and Beading, our only Australian book reviewer at Here Be (Book) Reviews.
- Veena at Giving Reading a Chance, our lone book reviewer from India at Here Be (Book) Reviews.
Tell me some random bookish fact about yourself in the comments here and I’ll give you an extra entry into any or all of the book giveaways I’m having this month (you have to enter on the individual contest thread though to collect the extra entry/entries).

What wonderful facts! I’ve never heard of an erotica workshop [blush], but I’ll bet it was fun!
Also - I agree with you that even adults should read Winnie the Pooh at least once! My son LOVES us to read Winnie stories to him (poor guy - his nursery is FULL of Winnie the pooh characters as they are a favorite of mine - I’m going to work on a Disney’s Cars themed room for him soon!).
Thanks for participating in the inflicted tag, and keeping it so that your Mom could read it! Hi Mom!!

I have to get to these things right away, if I say I’m going to do them later that’s when I end up forgetting about them. Thanks for tagging me, though.
Anysia,
Everything I have to say to you, you can find on my latest blog post. And that goes for your little friend Wendi, too! Aah Ha Ha Ha!

On your recommendation, I ordered a copy of Winnie the Pooh. Well, and also because I have never read it….and I do think that I should.

I’ve been trying to get my other half to read Winnie-the-Pooh for about 7 years now, but he doesn’t even read the books he asks me to buy him (see #7). I still have my first Winnie-the-Pooh book where I diligently coloured all the pictures — I should post that on a slow day sometime.
