Knowing yourself and living with your choices are major themes explored in way that has broad appeal despite the story’s focus on spirituality which would normally limit the audience.
The core premise, once revealed, seems contrived and I found some elements of the story distracting but The Last Surgeon still managed to hook me for a day’s reading.
